Whole Family Care was founded by Erin Vallier and Jenna McIntire. They met while working together at a local pregnancy resource center in the Northland. They worked closely with women who were experiencing unplanned pregnancies and a history of trauma and dysfunctional relationships. After becoming very aware of the overwhelming struggles these single-parent families faced, they decided to start a monthly support group to bring encouragement and hope to these mothers.
As they gathered each month, their desire to build a community of support around these families became a deeply rooted passion. It was evident that affording high-quality childcare was a major stressor for each family and often became a hindrance to keeping a job. This led to compromising the safety of their children by settling for mediocre childcare.
Erin and Jenna yearned for a way to share their faith and combine childcare and mentoring into one program. It was then that God birthed the idea of Whole Family Care. They began meeting frequently and praying together as they networked with local churches and organizations. In 2016, they formed a board, became a non-profit entity in 2017, and then operational in 2018.
Whole Family Care is a christ-centered, non-profit ministry that understands the unique challenges single-parent families face.
Our high-quality childcare program is designed to create a safe and loving Christian environment to learn and grow. We partner with parents to provide children with age and developmentally appropriate activities and materials they are free to explore.
We walk alongside our clients as they strive to reach their full potential for mental, emotional, spiritual, physical and financial health. We are committed to supporting families through this process of growth and discovery.
